Students who cannot devote at least half of their working time to their studies for an important reason can be granted leave of absence upon application.

Requests for leave are to be submitted to the Student Office before transferral of semester contribution. According to the enrollment regulations, semesters spent on leave can be requested for a maximum of six semesters in a bachelor’s program and a maximum of two semesters in a master’s program.

Students who apply for leave and who were already on leave in the preceding semester can apply for a refund of the semester contribution of up to 50 euros.

The leave application must be submitted digitally via the student portal.
