ASA for Outgoings
HFBK students can apply twice a year for an exchange semester with the Art School Alliance (ASA). The ASA partner universities are among the most renowned art schools in the world. HFBK students will have the unique opportunity to experience life and work at another art academy for theirselves, to get to know new perspectives, artistic practices, social systems and cultures and to (further) develop theirselves and their work. In the course of their stay they will build international friendships and networks beyond the “art academy cosmos” and maybe even foster and practice international understanding and cooperation in the long term.
The selected HFBK students can study at the partner universities free of tuition fees for the duration of a semester/term and receive travel expenses as well as monthly support from HFBK funds, the Karl H. Ditze Foundation or the Erasmus+ and PROMOS mobility programs.
All members of the Art School Alliance waive the tuition fees for exchange students. However, additional costs may arise, especially when studying in the USA. The exact funding modalities for a stay abroad in the ASA program vary, depending on the partner university. Please research the individual funding modalities and general conditions at the partner universities before applying.
